Review — Love Me in the Dark by Mia Asher

4 stars

Love Me in the Dark is the newest release by Mia Asher. It's set in New York and Paris. We are introduced to William and Valentina — who for all intents and purposes seem like the perfect, high-society couple.

I fell in love with Valentina's character. She was so timid in the beginning of the book and fought fiercely to regain independence and come into her own once again.  When I look at you I see a woman who might've lost her way, but I know she's brave enough to find it back.

Sébastien was such an amazing, complex character. I loved how he helped Valentina come out of her shell and how he showed her a completely different way of living life. I loved his brooding, artistic nature. And can I just say that I love, love, love his pet name for Valentina? Talk about swoon-worthy goodness? *le sigh*

He is a storm that invites you to dismiss your shelter and step outside so you can witness—feel—the beauty of his obliteration.

This story had major ups and downs and puts you through the emotional ringer for sure. But it restores your faith in love and fate. This was my first Mia Asher book, but it definitely won't be my last.

When you finally find something worth living for, you fight until there isn't one more drop of blood left in you.
